The Journey

We have a strong belief in something beyond a social mission...
Something more organic, more participatory...

Something that directly and immediately benefits those around us by our mutual actions: a social purpose.

Our social purpose is a trailside community coffee service that welcomes any and all to enjoy a free pour of nitro cold brew while conversing with others from varied segments of society and rewards a short hike, bike or run with beautiful scenery and fresh air.  As we've shown love to our community, it has been returned many times over through good press and the opportunity to work with inspiring projects.

This Idaho Statesman article along with a great front page feature quickly followed our first trailside coffee service in 2016: "A man, his mule, and a dream of trailside coffee in the Boise Foothills"

Richard's first TV appearance: "Mocha Mountain Mule"

We had an amazing time working with The Grotto Network on this piece and sharing some of our social mission: "Meet the Veteran Giving out Free Cold Brew"

A few updates from the Idaho Statesman and Lt. Governor Brad Little's support and permission to utilize his family's private land: "Café Mulé finds private land to serve coffee in Foothills" and "Idaho Lt. Gov. Little allows Café Mulé to use family's land"

Crossing the pond with our involvement in this UK blog article and subsequent feature in Horsemanship Magazine "Mule Tales, Richard (Café Mulé) | Muleography"

Edible Idaho giving some great acknowledgement to the founders of Payette Brewing and LongDrop Cider who have helped us incredibly on our journey, along with many others: "CRAFT BEVERAGE INCUBATOR Entrepreneurs share equipment and advice in a former brewery space"

Love this piece by Boise Weekly, and love the title "A Bishop and a Burro walk into the Foothills"

Our friends at Mission43 put us on video to help showcase their great veterans programs"Find Your Next"
